Swedish meatball supper Wednesday

CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Callender, is holding a Swedish meatball supper from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the church. The meal will be takeout only. Those attending should use north door. Cost is $10 per meal. The menu includes Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, dinner roll, and assorted bars.

Faith UMC to hold turkey dinner Sept. 15

HUMBOLDT — Faith United Methodist Church, Humboldt, is holding its annual turkey dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15 in Morehouse Hall for dine in. Carry out will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.. There will be two carry out lines for quicker service. The menu will include turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, gelatin salad, rolls, homemade pie and a drink. Fort Dodge Women’s Connection brunch is Sept. 14

Fort Dodge Women’s Connection is holding a brunch at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. The cost is $15. Reservations are required by Sept. 10 by calling Kathy Meinder at 408-7981. The speaker will be Mary Loui Ziebell, of Urbandale. She is a tutor and former reading teacher. Her talk entitled “No Longer Ashamed” includes her childhood with an alcoholic parent, a lifetime journey of needing validation from others and how she became an overcomer. Faith Community Church holding grandparenting seminar Sept. 11 and 12

The seminar begins at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 and concludes at 1 p.m. Sept. 12. Rolling Hills Community Church VBS begins Monday

Rolling Hills Community Church, 2891 N. 15th St., is holding a vacation Bible school from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thurdsay. Concrete & Cranes, lessons with a construction theme, will be the focus of this year’s VBS program. Children will learn that Jesus’ love will provide a foundation that lasts.
