St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1007 First Ave. S., will offer a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The menu includes hot dogs, chips, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $5.
LIVERMORE — Sacred Heart Church in Livermore will celebrate the church’s 100th anniversary and Summer Fest on June 9. The celebration will begin with a Mass at 10:30 a.m., followed by a meal until 2 p.m. The meal will include barbecue chicken or hot dog, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, cake, soft-serve ice cream and a drink. There will be children’s games, inflatables, silent auction, country store, and raffles until 3 p.m. There will be a pop and beer garden.
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1007 First Ave. S., is holding a hot dog fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 in the church parking lot following the Frontier Days parade. The cost is $5 for hot dog, chips, dessert and beverage.
A church service will be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on June 1 in the log chapel at the Fort Museum during Frontier Days. Compline service is free and open to the public. The service will be led by the Rev. Kris Leaman, curate at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Acapella hymn sing will be led by Grace Lutheran Church. A wristband is required to enter the Fort Museum during Frontier Days. They are $5.
CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Callender will celebrate Ascension Day at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Guest speaker will be Lauren Vogel as she talks about her recent trip to China. Bring a friend or a neighbor. The Ascension of Our Lord celebrates the day that Christ, in the presence of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven. It occurred 40 days after Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter. RSVP to Our Saviour’s by Monday by calling 548-3423.
