Local communities prepare to honor the fallen
The Fort Dodge commemoration of Memorial Day will be held on Monday at Terry Moehnke Veterans Memorial Park. It will begin at 10 a.m. with patriotic music played by the Karl King Municipal Band. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. The park is on the north side of Badger Lake in an area where there is very little space for parking. The Fort Dodge Veterans Council urges people to park at the Community Orchard, 2237 160th St., and ride a bus to the park.
