Registration deadline for Extension’s fermentation workshop is Friday

Learn all the basics of small batch fermentation and making sauerkraut at a food preservation workshop on Oct. 17. The workshop offered at the Webster County Extension and Outreach office in Fort Dodge is part of ISU Extension and Outreach’s Preserve the Taste of Summer program. Meals on Wheels trivia night is set for Saturday

The Meals on Wheels trivia night is Saturday at the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N. Doors open at 6 p.m. with trivia beginning at 7 p.m. There will be silent and live auctions. Daybreak Rotary chili and cinnamon roll supper Saturday

Daybreak Rotary will hold a bowl of chili and jumbo cinnamon roll supper from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 1111 Fifth Ave. N. Tickets are $10 per person. Call 515-570-8936 for tickets. The supper is drive-thru only. Proceeds are donated back into the community.

First UMC Manna Meal Saturday

The Upper Des Moines Opportunity drive through food pantry is 4:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 at Corpus Christi Center, 403 N. Eighth St. The pantry is open to all income-eligible residents of Webster County.

The Holy Trinity Parish spaghetti dinner is 4:30 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Corpus Christi Center, 405 N. Eighth St. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under.
