Parts of three Webster County roads are closed because of high water covering them, according to the County Engineer’s Office. Those roads are: • Dolliver Park Road between the north and south ends of the park. • McGuire Bend Road through Deception Hollow • Xavier Avenue between Brushy Creek Road and the border of Hamilton and Webster counties.

The Webster County Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Thursday so that it can be moved back into the courthouse. The office will reopen in the courthouse on Friday.
LIVERMORE — Livermore American Legion Otto Field Post 415 is holding a breakfast fundraiser from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Livermore Legion basement. The menu is pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and homemade cinnamon rolls for $10 per person.
Fort Dodge Women’s Connection invites all area women to a brunch at 9:30 a.m. May 14 at Tea Thyme, 2021 Sixth Ave. S. Tickets are $15 inclusive. The special feature will be Luke Fillmore, a bagpipe player. The speaker will be Dolly Snitselaar from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Letter carriers from the Fort Dodge Post Office will be doing more than delivering the mail when they make their rounds Saturday. They will also be collecting donations of non-perishable food items for their annual food drive. All items they collect will be donated to local food pantries. Residents are asked to put any items they wish to donate by their mailboxes.
