Shooting reported in Algona
ALGONA — Law enforcement officers from northern Iowa and southern Minnesota converged on Algona Wednesday night in response to a shooting.
The shooting was reported near the Kossuth County Fairgrounds, radio stations KLGA and KLGZ reported Wednesday night. The fairgrounds are along U.S. Highway 169 at the south end of Algona.
Details of the incident were not available Wednesday night.
Residents of Algona were asked to stay inside, with doors and windows locked.
