Firefighters to fill the boot for MDA
Fort Dodge firefighters will be raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association with their annual Fill the Boot campaign over the Labor Day weekend.
The firefighters will be at Hy-Vee, 115 S. 29th St., today through Monday. It’s called the Fill the Boot campaign because people will be encouraged to put their donations in a firefighter’s boot.
In 2021, the local firefighters, who are members of International Association of Firefighters Local 622, raised more than $10,000.
