Cleaning headstones party is Saturday
The Friends of Oakland Cemetery are hosting a “Cleaning Headstones Party” starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the historic Oakland Cemetery, 1617 N. 15th St.
Spray bottles and brushes will be provided — all that’s needed is you and your elbow grease.
In the event there is bad weather it will be postponed to Oct. 2. Bring your family, friends, employees, co-workers or organizations with you to help.
Cleaning should be done by noon.
