Dolliver Memorial State Park hits century mark
OTHO — Dolliver Memorial State Park in Webster County was established 100 years ago.
To mark the milestone, Park Manager Kevin Henning will give a presentation on the park’s history at 11 a.m. Saturday in the South Lodge.
When it was established in 1925, Dolliver Memorial State Park was the third one in the state park system, according to Henning.
He said Backbone State Park near Dundee in Delaware County was the first state park. Ledges State Park near Madrid in Boone County was the second one.
