New deputy sheriff hired
The Webster County Sheriff’s Department officially added a new member to its team Tuesday morning.
The hiring of Matthew Burns, formerly of the Fort Dodge Police Department, was approved by the Webster County Board of Supervisors at its regular meeting. Burns will be a deputy sheriff effective Aug. 23.
Sheriff Luke Fleener said that the addition of Burns will put the department at full staff.
Burns said he is very thankful to everyone involved in the process.
