City: Clear snow from hydrants
Hydrants provide an almost endless flow of water for putting out fires, but firefighters have to be able to reach them if they are to be of any use.
That’s why the City of Fort Dodge is asking residents and business owners to clear snow away from hydrants near their property. Snow should be removed within a three-foot radius of the hydrant.
Anyone who is unable to clear snow away from a hydrant can call the Public Works Department at 955-6139.
