Webster County Public Health reports 48 new COVID-19 cases

Webster County Public Health has reported 48 new COVID-19 cases in the last five days, bringing the county’s total to 1,484.

Of the total cases, 94 remain open under public health monitoring.

The cases fall into the following age categories:

• Children (age 0-17): 87

• Adults (age 18-40): 677

• Middle-aged adults (age 41-60): 457

• Older adults (age 61-80): 220

• Elderly adults (age 81+): 43

Webster County Public Health continues to encourage residents to only attend events or gatherings if social distancing and the wearing of masks is enforced. COVID-19 continues to spread through close contact of individuals, especially when masks are not worn and social distancing is not practiced.
