Audit of FD city government completed
An audit of the city of Fort Dodge was recently completed by Cornwell, Frideres, Maher & Associates PLC.
The audit found that the city government’s revenue totaled $61,075,998 for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2019.
That is a 10.4 percent increase from the prior year. The auditors reported that the increase in revenues was primarily related to an increase in charges for service due to the city taking over the ambulance service, plus utility rate hikes and more grants being received.
The city’s expenses totaled $50,631,013 for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2019. That was a 5.3 percent increase from the prior fiscal year.
