Webster County Public Health warns of scams targeting seniors
Webster County Public Health continues to receive reports from seniors in the county who are receiving phone calls and messages that free meals and supplies will be provided to them if they give the person on the telephone their Social Security number and/or Medicare/Medicaid number. These messages are scams, according to Kelli Bloomquist, public information officer. WCPH warns the public to remember that legitimate service providers will never ask for this information over the telephone or via email.
