City of Eagle Grove sells property

EAGLE GROVE — The city of Eagle Grove has agreed to part ways with an empty lot it owned.

The Eagle Grove City Council authorized the sale of property located at 107 N. Blaine Ave. at its meeting on Oct. 29.

The city acquired the house in January 2018 through a court order. It has since demolished the house and cleaned up the site, according to Bryce Davis, city administrator.

The lot takes up about 7,900 square feet, according to online records.

The city is selling the property to BH Properties for $7,500.
