County traffic routes during RAGBRAI set

The Webster County engineer has announced special traffic routes during RAGBRAI.

On Monday, from approximately 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., traffic will not be allowed to enter or exit Webster County Road D22, also known as Parker Drive, immediately to the west of the interchange at U.S. Highway 169.

Traffic west of that intersection will need to take alternate routes further to the west, such as Johnson Avenue or Hayes Avenue.

On Tuesday, from approximately 5 a.m. to 11 a.m., through traffic will not be allowed on Webster County Road D18, also known as 190th Street, west of Webster County Road P63, also known as Samson Avenue, to Webster County Road P59, also known as North 32nd Street.

Traffic will need to take alternate routes, such as Webster County Road P63 north to Webster County Road D14, also known as 170th Street, or Webster County Road P63 south to Webster County Road D20, also known as 200th Street.

Message boards and traffic signs will be used to advise and warn traffic. For more information, contact the Webster County engineer’s office, 576-3281.
