Sonshine Singers Fall Ministry is Sept. 11

The Sonshine Singers will be providing their Fall Ministry at 4 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the Fort Dodge Middle School Auditorium.

This very popular event, held for the last two years at the Middle School, has been so well received by the audience that we will once again provide music that will stir your heart in a powerful way. We will feature up-tempo Gospel type songs such as, “All the People Said AMEN,” “He Is the Rock”, and “A Wonderful Time Up There” as well as heart-felt anthems such as “Settled at the Cross,” “Bless This House,” and The Language of Canaan.” They have also added four very familiar hymns, “Standing on the Promises,” “When We All Get to Heaven,” “My Jesus I Love Thee,” and “Just as I Am.” Because the event is scheduled on 9-11, we will be closing our program with a very powerful patriotic number, “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

In addition to the Fort Dodge contingent, this group, representing approximately 45 area churches, travels from Grimes, Spencer, Callender, Ames, Alta, Otho, Gilmore City, Humboldt, Storm Lake, Webster City, Gowrie, Duncombe, Manson, Barnum, Palmer, Pomeroy, Perry, Stratford, and Moorland to be a part of this Ministry.

The Sonshine Singers have been providing a sacred music ministry to the Fort Dodge area and around the State of Iowa for 16 years. For this event, our very dedicated group of vocalists are accompanied by Shelly Bottorf (pianist), Dean Davis (percussion), Steve Kelleher (bass) and directed by Armona Redenius. The assistant pianist for the Sonshine Singers is Janece Valentine and the assistant director is John Zuerrer.

Mark your calendars to attend this 4 p.m. event on Sept. 11 at the Fort Dodge Middle School Auditorium – you won’t want to miss it.
