A man was reportedly shot very early Sunday morning in Fort Dodge.

The incident was reported at 12:36 a.m. near the intersection of Eighth Street Southwest and 10th Avenue Southwest. The man was found on the porch of a house near that intersection. He was reportedly suffering from two gunshot wounds.

He was treated at the scene by police and paramedics before being taken to UnityPoint Health – Trinity Regional Medical Center.

The incident remains under investigation by Fort Dodge police. The entire property where the home is located was cordoned off with crime scene tape.

Fort Dodge police, Webster County sheriff’s deputies and the Fort Dodge Fire Department responded.
