No one injured in Duncombe garage fire Friday

DUNCOMBE — Two Webster County Fire Departments responded to a garage fire in Duncombe Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday afternoon on Wagner Street on the east side of Duncombe, according to KQWC.
Duncombe Fire Chief Todd Bingham said a person entered the garage to start the car, then went back into the house while the car warmed up. But the car then became engulfed in flames.
The Duncombe and Vincent fire departments responded, putting out the car fire that had spread to the surrounding garage.
The car was totaled, with damage confined to the garage.
No one was injured, and no nearby homes were damaged in the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department and MidAmerican Energy also responded to the scene.
