Flight reductions could impact Fort Dodge
Airline schedule is unchanged for now
Commercial flights at Fort Dodge Regional Airport are scheduled to proceed as normal through the weekend.
But on Monday, things could be different.
The flights that serve Fort Dodge go and from Chicago O’Hare International Airport, which is one of the airports where mandatory flight reductions will go into effect as a result of the federal government shutdown.
“We know that we’re not immune from the situation,” said Sarah Rustvold, the director of aviation in Fort Dodge.
On Friday afternoon, she said the local flight schedule was “looking OK as of right now,” but said there could be changes on Monday.
She said United Airlines will be notifying passengers of any changes.
On its web site, the airline is reporting that anyone flying between Nov. 6 and Nov. 13 can request a refund or reschedule for free.
