A Fort Dodge man died last week in a one-vehicle motorcycle accident near Fort Dodge.

According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, last Thursday morning, officers were called to the 1800 mile of U.S. Highway 169 on the report of a motorcycle in the west ditch. Upon arrival, a deputy located a 2012 KTM motorcycle. The rider, Isaiah Caldwell, 19, was found deceased against a fence post.

According to the accident report from the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, it is believed that Caldwell was headed south on U.S. Highway 169 when he lost control and entered the west ditch where he struck the fence corner post.

The Webster County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Fort Dodge Fire Department, the Webster County Medical Examiner, and the Fort Dodge Police Department.
