Rhonda Chambers, the director of aviation at the Fort Dodge Regional Airport, addresses the City Council Monday evening after Mayor Matt Bemrich presented her with a proclamation honoring her upon her retirement. Thursday will be her last day on the job. She first started at the local airport in 1991, then left, only to return in 1997. She has been director of aviation since then. “It’s just been an amazing journey for me,” she told the council. “It’s been the most rewarding career.”
