HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY in the 600 block of Sumner Avenue, downtown Humboldt.

HARCOURT — Harcourt Public Library’s 75th Anniversary Open House is TODAY and SATURDAY. A silent auction starts at 6:30 p.m. today followed by a DJ bingo fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. and an outdoor movie starting at 9:30 p.m., all at the Harcourt Community Center, Harcourt. Bingo cards are $10 per card (four games) or $15 for two cards. The open house at the library is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with a book and bake sale starting at 10 a.m. Proceeds will go to the Harcourt Public Library for new shelving and interior improvements.

GOWRIE — Fort Dodge Area Symphony Summer Strings Music Festival is 1 p.m. SUNDAY in the Gowrie City Park, Gowrie. Those attending should bring a lawn chair. The event is free, freewill donations are appreciated. Food and beverage stands will be available.

FONDA — The Fonda Arts Center, Fonda, presents Al Sroufe and Craig Phillips at 3 p.m. SUNDAY at the center. Admission and refreshments are free.

OTHO — Dolliver Memorial State Park Manager Kevin Henning will give a presentation on the park’s history at 11 a.m. SATURDAY in the South Lodge to commemorate the park’s 100th anniversary.

HUMBOLDT — Springvale Amateur Radio Club is holding an ARRL Field Day from 10 a.m. SATURDAY until noon SUNDAY at Joe Sheldon County Park, 2250 Sheldon Ave., Humboldt. This is a national event. For more information, message the club on Facebook or via email at kf0hlc@gmail.com.

WEBSTER CITY — The Jane Young House, 629 Elm St., Webster City, will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. SATURDAY. There will be a vintage clothing exhibit, “Let’s All Go to the Movies.” Those attending are welcome to take a quiz matching the quotes from the movies to the clothing displayed. The house is handicap accessible. Admission is $5 per person.

MANSON — Manson Greater Crater Days are 4 to 10 p.m. TODAY, 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. SATURDAY and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. SUNDAY in Manson. The parade is 10 a.m. Saturday.

FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Farmers Market is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at 11 N. 25th St.

FORT DODGE — The Sonshine Singers, present Sonshine Singers Summer Sing at 5 p.m. SUNDAY at First Covenant Church, 201 Ave. H. There is no admission charge, freewill donations are appreciated.

FORT DODGE — Karl L. King Municipal Band Concert is 7:30 p.m. SUNDAY at the Karl L. King Band Shell in Oleson Park. There is no admission charge, courtesy of the city of Fort Dodge. Persons attending are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. No seating is provided.

FORT DODGE — Friendship Haven’s 75th anniversary Legacy Night is 7 to 10 p.m. TODAY at Friendship Haven, 420 Kenyon Road. Doors open at 6 p.m. There will be a raffle, dessert bar, music by The Dueling Pianos of Andy Anderson and Mike Leeds, and fireworks. Tickets are $20 per person.

FORT DODGE — Lunch on Central is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY between the Webster County Courthouse and The Messenger. The menu is pork burger or tenderloin, pasta salad, potato chips and bottled water for $8. Desserts available for purchase.

FORT DODGE — Webster County Crime Stoppers Golf Outing is 9 a.m. SATURDAY at the Fort Dodge Country Club, 370 Country Club Drive. The format is 4-person best ball, shotgun start. Entry fees ae $75 per golfer or $300 per team. Proceeds will enhance public safety by installing strategically placed security cameras through Webster County.

FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club annual Flower Show is 1 to 5 p.m. SATURDAY and 1 to 4 p.m. SUNDAY at The Lion’s Den, 731 Exposition Drive. Admission is free.
