HUMBOLDT — Humboldt Farmer’s Market is 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY in the 600 block of Sumner Avenue, downtown Humboldt.
LIVERMORE — The Livermore American Legion Otto Field Post No. 415 annual Memorial Day Program is 11 a.m. MONDAY on Main Street in Livermore, in front of the Humboldt County Freedom Rock and Veterans Memorial Park. A potluck dinner will be served immediately following the ceremony in the Livermore Legion basement.
WEBSTER CITY — Webster City Memorial Day programs will take place on MONDAY. Services at the Marshall Crippen Bridge on North Des Moines Street will begin at 8:30 a.m. for those lost at sea, by American Legion Post 191 Auxiliary. Services at the Cass Center Cemetery will begin at 9 a.m. by the American Legion Post 191. The Memorial Day Parade begins at 10:30 a.m. south on Des Moines Street to the Boulevard of Valor. Following presentation of roses at the markets and recognition of active duty military personnel by the American Legion Post 191 Auxiliary, the parade will continue to the entrance of Graceland Cemetery and Memorial stage. Services at Graceland Cemetery begin at 11 a.m. by Commander Dave Gordon. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be canceled.
WEBSTER CITY — The Jane Young House, 629 Elm St, Webster City, will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. SATURDAY for anyone to come to tour the house and view the latest vintage clothing exhibit “Let’s All Go To The Movies.” Those attending are welcome to take a quiz matching the quotes from the movies to the clothing displayed. Admission is $5 per person. The event is sponsored by the Webster City Women’s Club. The house is handicap accessible.
In Fort Dodge
FORT DODGE — The Karl L. King Municipal Band of Fort Dodge will perform at 10 a.m. MONDAY at the annual Memorial Day ceremonies at the Terry Moehnke Veterans Memorial Park, 1386 National Ave. Parking and shuttle service will be available at the Community Orchard. Persons attending should bring a lawn chair. The formal program is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. In the event of rain, the program may be moved on very short notice to Fort Frenzy.
