Fort Dodge Police have arrested Brianna D. Anderson, 34, of Fort Dodge with first degree arson.

On the morning of July 13, Fort Dodge Police and the Fort Dodge Fire Department were dispatched to a residential fire at 304 S. 15th Street in Fort Dodge. The residence was occupied at the time of the fire and all were able to escape without injuries. Officers investigated the circumstances of the fire and noted that a female was seen leaving the area shortly before smoke was seen coming from the home.

Investigators have continued to follow up on the case as the fire was deemed to be intentionally set. This morning an officer with the Fort Dodge Police Department saw Anderson where she was taken into custody without incident.

Anderson is currently being held in the Webster County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
