MANSON — Two new dentists are getting to work in Manson, a community that just a few weeks ago seemed likely to lose its only dental office.
Dr. Sarah Hoban has sold Manson Family Dentistry to Dr. Jordan Moffitt, of Eagle Grove.
Moffitt will be joined by Dr. Lex Cashmore in the practice, which will be called Manson Dental.
“I am going to miss seeing all of my patients whom I have cared for over the years, but I am leaving you in good hands with Dr. Moffitt,” Hoban wrote in a letter to her former patients.
She wrote that Moffitt has her “full faith and confidence.”

Lex Cashmore
Patients of Hoban will not have to do anything to become patients of Moffitt and Cashmore. All of their records will be automatically given to the new dentists.
“It is a seamless service,” said Mindy Ennis, the practice administrator for both Moffitt Dental in Eagle Grove and Manson Dental.
Cashmore and Dr. Jordan Moffitt both work with Dr. Mike Moffitt at Moffitt Dental. Ennis said Cashmore and Jordan Moffit will split time between both locations, with one dentist at a time being in Manson.
“They both plan on being at both practices,” she said.
New patients will be accepted at Manson Dental.
Jordan Moffitt earned his dental degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He has been a dentist since 2015.
Cashmore earned her dental degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She has certifications in treating special needs patients and geriatic patients. She has been a dentist since 2022.
Meet the dentists
Dr. Jordan Moffitt and Dr. Lex Cashmore will greet Manson area residents during an open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 12 at the Manson Golf Course clubhouse.
