Crash sends one to hospital

A Fort Dodge firefighter/paramedic checks on the driver of a Ford Escape Thursday evening following a crash on 11th Avenue Southwest between 11th and 12th streets southwest. The Ford Escape collided with the grey Ford sedan in the background, which jumped the curb and came to rest in the front yard of a home on 11th Avenue Southwest. The dark-colored car was not involved in the crash. The man driving the SUV was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health - Trinity Regional Medical Center. The collision was reported at 7:42 p.m. and remained under investigation by Fort Dodge police Thursday night.
