Messenger donates to Honor Flight

The Messenger has donated $1,205 from its annual special edition honoring veterans past and present to the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight. Terry Christensen, left, the publisher of The Messenger, and Charlene Peterson, multi-media sales consultant for the paper, made the presentation recently to Ron Newsum, center, president of the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight board. The Honor Flight takes area veterans to Washington, D.C., for free to see the nation’s war memorials. The next flights are scheduled for May 7, 2022, and Aug. 27, 2022.
