A Fort Dodge man was killed early Thursday morning when his vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole, according to Webster County Sheriff Luke Fleener.

Jeremy Bruns, 44, was driving a 2008 Chrysler Aspen on 120th Street near U.S. Highway 169 at approximately 3 a.m. when he crashed and was ejected from the vehicle.

Bruns was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

Also on the scene were Fort Dodge Fire Rescue, Badger Fire Rescue, Clare Fire Rescue, Webster County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Dodge Police Department.
