Trevir Michehl, Webster County sheriff’s deputy, records some accident photos after one man apparently lost control of the truck he was driving and crashed into a power pole Friday west of Gowrie. The accident was reported at about 4:30 p.m. just west of the intersection of 350th Street and Easter Avenue. The man appeared to be driving the truck eastbound before entering the north ditch. The power pole was split and power lines fell to the ground. The man, who was not identified Friday, was transported by Gowrie Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries to Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, according to Mike Kenyon, Webster County sheriff’s deputy. The crash remained under investigation Friday night. Webster County sheriff’s deputies, Gowrie volunteer firefighters, Gowrie Ambulance, and Gowrie police officers were on scene. Midland Power Cooperative, of Jefferson, was also called to the scene.
