Sturgis is the owner of Lucky 7 Coffee Shop in Manson, located along Iowa Highway 7, which just opened to the public last month.

“It was always a dream of mine,” said Sturgis. “I’ve always loved coffee shops and the feelings you get when you are in one, especially ones that are locally owned to the area you are in.”

Sturgis moved to Manson in 2023 and realized the community didn’t have a coffee shop and decided to make her dream come true.

“It just felt like the right thing,” Sturgis said. “It took a long time to get here, but it worked out even better than I could have imagined.”

Lucky 7 Coffee Shop has a rotating seasonal menu as well as year-round favorites. Sturgis recently announced a new winter menu including a new latte and chair flavor pairing as well as blueberry, cherry, honey, and lavender coffee flavors, and tea and decaf espresso.

“I’m really excited about having a seasonal menu for people that includes different types of yummy drinks for people to try,” said Sturgis. “Coming up with those has to be one of my favorite things so far, and it makes me so really excited.”

A favorite seasonal drink of customers is the Reindeer Treat Latte which Sturgis created. It’s a latte with salted caramel syrup and dark chocolate sauce.

“I think everyone loves it because it’s that perfect in between of sweet and salty and it tastes good both hot and iced, so it’s a win-win for everyone,” said Sturgis.

Lucky 7 Coffee also has jumbo muffins, cake pops, and sourdough sweet bread ready for purchase.

“I think for a very long time Manson needed a place like this for people to be able to meet up with friends or have a work meeting somewhere else besides an office, and I’m super excited a space like that is finally here,” said Sturgis.

Lucky 7 Coffee Shop is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sundays. It is located along Iowa Highway 7 in Manson.
