What are you doing differently to serve customers due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

Meeting with clients over the phone, using Zoom technology. Working with our customers and trying to save them money and provide good customer service. Farm Bureau is also working with customers to set up payment arrangements, if necessary. Doors are still locked, but we are still here being available to people with everything going on around us. Our office hours are still 8 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.

What is the biggest challenge your business has overcome recently?

Limited face-to-face contact with clients and not having the normal socialization with them.

What is the biggest success your business has experienced recently?

We have seen a trend in people moving their business over here to have a local agent. Clients are taking advantage of lower market prices and making investments. With the good weather, planting is ahead of schedule and farmer insurance interest has picked up. Farm Bureau is a leader in farm insurance with some unique coverages that meet the new demands of today’s farm and agribusiness operations.
