Stewart Memorial partners with Lake City for ‘This Is Home’ project

LAKE CITY — Stewart Memorial Community Hospital has entered a partnership with the City of Lake City to bring community members, businesses, and financial sponsors together in support of residents in need of help.

The goal of This Is Home is to have a one-day event to assist community members who may be in need of an extra helping hand from volunteers.

This event is intended to ensure safety, beauty, overall community improvement, while bringing residents together in teams working together.

SMCH Chief Executive Officer Cindy Carstens explains” “As our board and leadership team look to the future, we see being involved in our community a key priority, not only in healthcare, but to help meet other needs of our residents.”

The hospital team intends to provide volunteers for the project.

This Is Home is accepting applications from residents who would like work done to the exterior of their home or yard. The event is also in need of volunteers and financial sponsors.
