Representing her favorite insect, Jocelyn Tosten, then 9, a fourth-grader at Community Christian School, twists a pipe cleaner around a pencil to make an antenna for the caterpillar she constructed during the insect celebration in June Bacon’s class. Following a month-long unit on insects, the students dressed as their favorite bugs.
