Seven FDSH students selected for All State Speech

Fort Dodge Senior High’s speech team had a successful individual speech season. Seven individual performances were selected for All State Speech honors. This is the highest honor a speech participant can receive.

Representing FDSH as All State participants are:

Isabel Beekman in Poetry with “Surviving”

Isabel Beekman in Public Address with “Every Child Deserves a Champion”

Moira Buie in Reviewing with “Nailed It!”

Joey Kelley in Solo Musical Theatre with “Why God Why?”

Josh Meier in Prose with “When Breath Becomes Air”

Josh Meier in Acting with “A Know-It-All in the Park”

Gracie Miller in Acting with “The Towel Lady”

Because of limitations due to COVID-19, there will not be an All State Festival this year. Students will receive medals, certificates and other All State materials.

“I’m incredibly proud of all of our performers,” shared Lindey Krug, FDSH speech coach. “They worked so hard and dodged the obstacles set in front of them this year with grace and resilience. I’m extremely lucky to work with such amazing people.”
