Two area students win ag scholarships
Two community college students from the area who are studying agriculture or agribusiness have received $1,000 scholarships through a program conducted by the Agribusiness Association of Iowa.
Iowa Central Community College student Leslie Murphy, of Sac City, received a scholarship sponsored by the Iowa Biotechnology Association.
Hannah Bothne, of Bode, a student at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, received a scholarship sponsored by Twin State Inc.
The scholarships were presented Feb. 12 during Agribusiness Career Day in Des Moines.
