ESTHERVILLE — Iowa Lakes Community College recently announced the 2017-18 recipients of the Palo Alto County Health Care Scholarship. The 2017-18 recipients are Kindra Marges and Sarah Simington, both of Emmetsburg.

In 2008, Palo Alto County Health System of Emmetsburg established the Palo Alto County Health Care Scholarship at Iowa Lakes Community College. Requirements include full-time enrollment in Medical Office Technology, Associate Degree Nursing, Health Care Administration, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant Specialist, Paramedic Science, Pharmacy Technician, Practical Nursing or Surgical Technology; minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA and permanent Palo Alto County resident. Award amounts are $1,250 and must be used for tuition, books or fees.
