FDSH Speech Showcase set for Friday
Fort Dodge Senior High will host its Speech Showcase at 6 p.m. Friday in the Little Theater. This free performance is open to the public.
According to Lindey Krug, FDSH speech coach, the Speech Showcase is an opportunity for the students to perform their large group pieces in front of an audience prior to the district competition the next day.
The speech team will then participate in District Large Group Speech Contest Jan. 20, beginning at 8 a.m. at Storm Lake High School. More than 60 students have prepared 21 entries for the contest. The public is invited to attend and a $3 suggested donation will be taken as admission at the door. Performances may not be photographed or recorded.
“The team is excited to perform their contest selections for family and friends here in Fort Dodge before heading to districts,” said Krug. “The kids have been working hard, and we’re looking forward to a great day of competition.”
