Fort Dodge Senior High’s annual Eighth Grade Night will take place in the Senior High gym on Jan. 25, beginning at 7 p.m. Current eighth-grade students and their parents are encouraged to attend this event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about and meet the staff of the Freshman Academy. In addition, staff will share information regarding freshman life, graduation requirements and the high school scheduling process. Students should bring their scheduling grid sheet, which they will receive at school, to this event. Tours of the high school will also be provided.

“This is an opportunity for eighth-grade students who will attend Senior High next year to get in the high school and learn more about what they will experience as freshmen,” Carrie Traver, freshman counselor, stated. “We will be available to answer questions and address any concerns parents and students may have about the scheduling process or high school life in general.”
