The 2018 Terrace Hill Piano Competition is Feb. 9-10. Established in 1986,

The competition is open to Iowa students who plan on attending an Iowa college or university as a music major or minor. The senior level finalists will be awarded scholarships that are distributed over a two-year period of time.

The winner will receive $5,000; second-place, $3,000; and third-place, $2,000. All sessions are held at the IPTV studios and are open to the public free of charge. Preliminary Senior Competition with six contestants is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the Senior Final Competition with the top three contestants will be from 2 to 3 p.m.
