ESTHERVILLE — The Iowa Lakes Community College recently announced the recipients of the Iowa Lakes High School Dual Credit Scholarships.

The 2017-18 area recipients are: Algona — Nick Mergen, Jase Rooney, Kala Zwiefel; Cylinder — Michelle Goodman; Early — Zach Roling; Emmetsburg — Jordan Cole, Alexander Hall, Takoca Harris, Ty Kral, Austin Noll, Ali Weir, Brent Welsley; Graettinger — Ethan Boughey, Joshua Petrich, Samuel Skattebo, Jordan Thompson; Newell — Kaylea Christiansen; Pocahontas — Bailey Vainreb; Ruthven — Sabrina Clarken, Keeven Long. Since 2009, Iowa Lakes Community College has funded the High School Dual Credit Scholarship for students who earned 3-13 credits in dual credit courses while in high school. Eligible courses include Dual Credit or Career Academy. Award amount is up to $500 for tuition only.
