Earns St. Ed Alumni Award

Todd Baker recently earned the 2017 Spirit of St. Edmond Alumni Award.

Baker is a 1999 St. Edmond Catholic School graduate. He graduated from Iowa Central Community College in 2001 with an AAS degree in electrical maintenance.

He began his employment with Pella Windows in Story City shortly after his college graduation.

Baker then received his Master Electrician’s License in 2003.

Four years later he started his own business in Fort Dodge called Baker Electric. Baker Electric has now grown to 28 full-time employees.

He married Amanda Clark on Sept. 6, 2003. The couple has three children who each attend St. Edmond: Kase Baker, a ninth-grader, Klara Baker, a seventh-grader, and Klay Baker, a fifth-grader.

Todd Baker is a member of the Knights of Columbus, a board member of the St. Edmond Board of Education, a member of the school’s facilities committee, an executive member of the Play Like a Champion Today board, a member of the St. Edmond Athletic Booster Club and a volunteer coach for the St. Edmond fifth- and sixth-grade football squads. Todd Baker and his wife Amanda have also served as co-chairs for the friends of St. Edmond Ball. In his spare time, he enjoys watching his children’s activities, hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling and boating.
