CHURDAN — America’s SBDC Iowa has announced Minnehan Metal Works, LLC, of Churdan, as the winner of the organization’s statewide February Small Business of the Month Award. In 1993, Minnehan Metal Works, LLC began as a welding and farm repair shop in a garage in Churdan. Anthony and Tami Minnehan design and build products that have solved problems in the agriculture and commercial industries. Farm Bureau agent Leslie Caldwell received the 2020 All American Award. The honor recognizes Caldwell’s dedication to serving the community. It’s the ninth time she has won the award. She earned the Million Dollar Round Table in 2017. Caldwell has been an agent with Farm Bureau Financial Services for 15 years.

Lennon named Marian Home director of nursing

Jody Lennon, a registered nurse, has accepted the director of nursing position at The Marian Home and Village. In her role, Lennon will be responsible for directing the daily operation of the nursing department and management of care for the residents in both skilled and intermediate care. She has over 25 years of long-term care experience, all at the Marian Home. Lennon graduated with her associate degree in nursing from Iowa Central Community College. Roethler joins LifeWorks board

Julie Roethler, of Livermore, has joined the LifeWorks Community Services Board of Directors. As a board member, Roethler provides oversight to LifeWorks’ paid leadership as they fulfill the organization’s mission. The mission of LifeWorks Charitable Foundation is to provide financial support to LifeWorks Community Services in its work with individuals with disabilities. Roethler, a native of Fort Dodge, is a universal banker at Availa Bank. She graduated from St. Edmond High School and attended Iowa Central Community College for two years.
