Lisa Shimkat honored by Business Record

Lisa Shimkat, of Fort Dodge, will receive the Business Record Women of Influence Award. She is the state director of America’s Small Business Development Center Iowa. She is also a member of the Fort Dodge Community School District Board of Education. Business Record, a Des Moines based publication, will present the honors to Shimkat and several other women during an Aug. 3 event.

Joni Hefley recently joined the Friendship Haven team as the executive assistant to CEO Julie Thorson and Chief Operating and Financial Officer Kalleen Engels.
