United Bank of Iowa donates to Elderbridge
United Bank of Iowa recently donated $2,023 to Elderbridge.
This money was raised during United Bank of Iowa’s United Together Makes the Difference Cause Day.
The goal of United Bank of Iowa’s Cause Day effort is to give employees the opportunity to make a difference and support people in need in the communities the bank serves. On the second and fourth Fridays of each month, UBI employees from all 37 locations have the option to donate $5 to wear their United Together T-shirts with jeans to work. The bank matches the employee donations up to $1,000 and the total is donated to one cause, randomly drawn from suggestions from all 37 locations.
Elderbridge was the recipient of United Bank of Iowa’s March 13 Cause Day donation. The organization serves older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities by connecting them to essential services, including counseling, home-delivered meals, elder abuse prevention, nutrition education and fall prevention workshops. Through these efforts, Elderbridge empowers those they serve to maintain independent, healthy lives.
Since September 2020, United Bank of Iowa has donated $277,970 to 132 causes in their market through this Cause Day effort.
