Beth Hiveley, a cross continuum social worker in Care Coordination, was named the May Employee of the Month at UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

She was nominated by Sarah Spellmeyer, a fellow social worker, who praised her commitment to help patients find resources in their time of need.

“Every day, she doesn’t stop until she finds the resources that patients need,” Spellmeyer said.

Spellmeeyr said colleagues turn to Hiveley for her expertise. She added that Hiveley goes above and beyond with helping patients, whether it’s arranging a meal or helping families secure winter items.

“Beth will take on these cases and goes until she finds the resources, the waivers and sees the words ‘approved,” Spellmeyer said.
