Local dentist honored
Dr. Jordan Moffitt has been granted fellowship into the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
His induction ceremony took place at the annual meeting of the Iowa Dental Association. The prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy is a worldwide honorary dental organization. It selects individuals of the highest ethical, moral, and professional standards who are determined to be the most outstanding dentists in different countries around the world. The Academy inducts dentists who have been selectively recognized by their peers for their service to dentistry in the worldwide community
“I was so surprised and honored to be up there with such distinguished colleagues, especially because I’m just out here practicing in rural Iowa,” Moffitt said. “I’m a little humbled to stand with those dentists that I admire so much, but I’d like to thank the dentists who have been sending patients my way, and most importantly I’d like to thank my patients for entrusting me with the opportunity to serve them. The most important thing to me is that our patients are getting the best care possible.”
The mission of the Pierre Fauchard Academy is to recognize and develop outstanding leadership in the dental profession internationally. The principle of service is one of the Academy’s major functions, and they aim “to have as fellows the most outstanding dentists in every country in the world.”
Moffitt lives in Fort Dodge and practices dentistry in Eagle Grove and Manson. He is known for his work with advanced prosthodontics, dental implants, and complex restorative cases.
