Mary Callyn (Callie) Herke and Logan James Axne, of Milford, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Douglas and Mary Herke, of Emmetsburg, and Lowell and Kim Axne, formerly of Badger, now of Humboldt.

An Oct. 26, 2024, wedding in Graettinger is planned.

Herke is a 2012 graduate of Terril High School in Graettinger, 2014 graduate of Des Moines Area Community College with a Liberal Arts Degree and 2021 graduate from University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies. Herke is employed at Ries Eyecare as a paraoptometric technician.

Axne is a 2008 graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School and 2012 graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Sports Study. Axne is employed as an officer for the Milford Police Department.
