Randy Jaekel and Elizabeth Becker

Elizabeth Becker and Randy Jaekel, both of Oceanside, California are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Bruce and Deb Becker, of Fort Dodge; Ron Jaekel, of Kansas City, Missouri; and Gary and Kristie Janssen, of Missoula, Montana.

An Oct. 6, 2018, wedding is planned.

Becker is a 2004 graduate of St. Edmond High School and earned an associate’s degree in nursing at Iowa Central Community College. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at University of Iowa and bachelor’s degree in nursing at Mercy College of Health Sciences. Becker is currently studying for her master’s degree in nursing at Grand Canyon University. She is a traveling nurse throughout the United States.

Jaekel is a 1999 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, Missouri. He holds bachelor’s degrees in business administration and human resources management from Columbia College. He is a master sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and currently pursuing a master’s degree in marketing at National University.
