There’s still time to enter the Festival of Chocolate

WEBSTER CITY — Here’s an idea to beat the post-holiday January blahs — whip up a batch of chocolate goodies and enter Kendall Young Library’s seventh annual Festival of Chocolate, to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 27.

It’s a chance to share with fellow chocoholics, support this annual Library fundraising event, and win prizes.

You can enter one or more of the four categories: Brownies/Bars, Cakes/Cupcakes, Confections/Candy, and Cookies. A panel of judges will select the top entries in each category and award prizes. Entry forms are available at the library checkout desk or on the library’s website, www.kylib.org.

There’s no cost to enter and participants are admitted free to the festival. Entries will be accepted through Tuesday.

The Festival of Chocolate is sponsored by the Friends of Kendall Young Library to help fund programs and activities not covered in the library’s normal operating budget. The revenue supports Kendall Young Library Summer Reading Programs, Books for Babies and other Library services and projects.

Tickets for the Festival are available for $10 at the library checkout desk or can be purchased at the event. For more information, contact the library at 515-832-9100.
